PodTech.net: Silicon Valley, Technology, & Media Podcast

What’s going on at PodTech lately? When I got my first iPod it was mainly for music. As Apple integrated in Podcasting, I began using my iPod almost exclusively for listening to Podcasts. My two favorite podcasts were VentureVoice and PodTech.

I’m sorry to say that I’ve been listening to Podtech less and less because the podcasts have been sounding more and more like informercials for Juniper, Intel, Barracuda, and Maxtor. I was hoping that after raising more than $5 million, PodTech’s content would be getting more organized and more informational and less infomercial. John and the rest of the team, if you’re reading this, please consider going back to your roots and interviewing interesting people doing interesting things in technology and media. One or two podcasts on Juniper’s products is more than enough. Content like the VentureOne summit coverage, Trends in Social Networking, Mashup Camp Venture Capital Session with Jeff Clavier of SoftTechVC, and Mark Cuban InfoTalk with John Furrier and much much more are the types of informational podcasts that made PodTech interesting to those of us not living in the Valley and also to those living in and around the Valley.

I would really like to see more content like this. You talk about the globalization of Silicon Valley in many of your podcasts, your show can continue to contribute considerably to the globalization of Silicon Valley.

Thanks for the comment on PodTech. We have prior to funding been challenged on how to segment corporate content. Now we will be putting corporate content under a different section. Also I will be picking up my show on entrepreneurship, innovation, and web 2.0. You will also see more cool shows about Silicon Valley. Thanks for listening and check back soon for some good podcasts
